Welcome to the Gabriele's German Cookies & Chocolates website!

My name is Gabriele, I am the owner of the business, the baker, the chocolate maker, and everything in between!!

I was born and raised in Germany where I studied at the University of Nuernberg to become a Home Economics teacher. I grew up in a family where CHRISTMAS was always written with capital letters!  My Mom and Dad were "Mr. and Mrs. Claus" and they taught their children well.  In the Advent season we would be in the kitchen and bake up cookie recipes, that in part have been handed down in our family for generations.  We did not limit ourselves to "the old ones", but also incorporated new recipes and even developed some of our own.  It was not uncommon to end up with 75 to 100 different kinds of cookies  by Christmas Eve!!!  Of course our "production was not only limited to cookies.  We also made lots of delicious chocolates, and the famous Christmas specialties like "Stollen" and "Linzer Torte".  This passion has stayed with me, and a day without baking or chocolate making isn't worth much !!!  I am happy to be able to share my "wares", not only for Christmas time now, but all year round.
